Uruguay vs Germany Highlights and Goals: Three times Champion Germany finally finished World Cup with the Third Place after win over Uruguay on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth.Total five goals are scored during the match among them 3 were by Germany and 2 were by Uruguay. The lead was exchanged in the middle of the game to create great excitement.
Goal 1: Germany 1-0 - in the 19th minute Bastian Schweinsteiger well-struck 30-yard drive is blocked by Fernando Muslera, that man Thomas Mueller gets in quick as a flash to coolly tap in from eight yards.
Goal 2: Uruguay 1-1 - At the 27 minute of play Arguably Bastian Schweinsteiger's first mistake of the tournament. He is dispossessed by a fine Diego Perez tackle on halfway and suddenly Uruguay break with pace as Luis Suarez feeds Edinson Cavani on the inside left channel and he slips nonchalantly past Hans-Joerg Butt with his right foot. Told you there'd be goals.
Half time finishes with 1-1.
Goal 3: Uruguay 2-1 - At 51stminute Egidio Arevalo plays a cracking - if unconventional - one-two down the right with Luis Suarez and his cross to the edge of the box is acrobatically volleyed into the ground and into the Germany net by Diego Forlan.
Goal 4: Germany 2-2 - Justafter trialing with 1-2 for three minutes Fernando Muslera's comes for another cross, this time flung in from the right by new Manchester City signing Jerome Boateng, gets nowhere near this one either and is helpless as Marcell Jansen heads into an empty net.
Goal 5: Germany 3-2 - At the 83rd minute the Uruguay players look heartbroken again, don't think this doesn't mean anything to them. A corner from the Germany right is headed into the six-yard box and after Diego Lugano cannot adjust his feet quickly enough to clear, the ball pops up to Sami Khedira to loop a header into the corner of the net.
