IPL 2010 T20 Match Live Coverage : DD vs MI Live StreamingDate: 17th March 2010 (Wednesday) (8pm start)
Venue: DD’s den (Firozshah Kotla)
Pitch : Batting paradise. This is what you always look for a T-20 game. Kotla is banned by ICC for poor pitch they prepared for ODI match against Srilanka. Since then they are working hard to prepare a better pitch, (read batting paradise). The spectators could expect lot of runs and boundaries, so as the batsman, don’t forget the poor bowlers.
MI: Not so convincing win over the Rajasthan Royals. But winning the 1st match of any tournament brings confidence in the team. MI’s chances depends on how their batsmen perform. The start is the key. With Tendulkar and Jayasuriya blasting bowlers all over the park at the top order, will make life easy for the middle order. In both the previous season of IPL MI were short of some good local talent. This time it seems they have overcome with this problem. Rayudu and Tiwari played exceptionally well in the previous match.
This has ensured Sachin and Jayasuriya to go after the bowling from the very 1st ball without thinking too much about the middle order performance which they had before. Bowling is still an area of concern and its only upto Zaheer and Malinga to perform as they are not supported well by the local talent. The team also lacks a good wicket-keeper batsman.
DD’s got the most fearful batting order of all. Though only Sehwag and Gambhir fired. But this could be a worried factor for any team, how would they tackle once all the top order batsmen would start firing all together. MI would be hoping that doesn’t happen with them. Their bowling is also quite good. Nannes with Mishra and Nehra(if fit) with Mahroof could restrict the opposition to low scores. Mishra could be handy in the middle overs. Of course DD are the top favorites to win the IPL 3.

Players to look out for
MI
Sachin Tendulkar: Missed out playing a big knock in the 1st match of the IPL. But then he was in good touch. With Sanath Jayasuriya, they are the most fearsome opening pair in the IPL. The only batsman in the tournament who could change his game in any given situation and may be the only player who has a combination of both class and power hitting. MI performance lot depend on their captain. If he fires then he could win game of his own at the age of 36+. And mind you, this little chap is still hungry for runs.
Statutory Warning: Could be nasty for bowlers of all classes, would be treat for the crowd

Malinga: The lethal deadly yorkers could break either wickets or the toe of the batsmen. Malinga would be very handy in stopping the run flow of Daredevils. With his in-swinging yorkers he could derail the most powerful batting order of the IPL. He and Zaheer Khan are the only bowlers for MI who looked like taking wickets against the RR, so the bowling department would lot depends on him & Zaheer.
DD
Gambhir: With 2 back to back wins the new captain is all set to ready for the kill. The overall most successful batsman of 2009 would be opening with the Sehwag. His role would be more of building partnership rather than attacking all the time.
Sehwag: Bring it on. That’s what Sehwag always think. He can change the match in an over. The man who could hit boundaries off good balls and could get out off poor deliveries. Was in great form against the Rajasthan Royals. It will be great to see how he handles Zaheer Khan. If he survives for 1st 3-4 overs, the match would be over soon for Mumbai Indians.
