British Open Day 2: Tiger Woods New Approach Will claim Third Title at St. Andrews

British open day one completed and second day running live on ESPN. Tiger woods day one began new approach and finished with a 5-under-par 67. Tiger woods finished with 9 other golfers with same score. Rory MCILROY finished round 1 at the top of the table with 9-under-par 63. Louis OOSTHUIZEN just finished second at the table with 7-under-par 65.

Woods is looking to become the first man to win three Opens at St. Andrews – and to end a winless streak matching his longest ever to start a season. He has played six events in 2010, finishing fourth in both the Masters and U.S. Open and no higher than 19th anyplace else.

"You had to go get it," said Woods, who by day's end found himself tied for eighth. "I felt like I did a pretty good job of that today."

"I was trying to hit a cut [shot off the tee] and just didn't trust it," Woods said.
